i wouldn’t have believed it myself if i hadn’t experienced it.
within just 24 hours, i wrote a record to give away online, summoned the legendary Infamous Mobb Deep via out of the blue tweets and we released a record together. I became a trending topic Worldwide within 3 minutes of its release and actually penetrated radio. Just heard the news that the Great Zane Lowe will premiere the record in the United Kingdom tonight as ‘The Hottest Record In The World”.
All of the above is attempted daily by major music corporations who have teams of ppl spending excessive amounts of money and still fall short of the goal. My methodology is quite different, but we must agree… it works. and on a pretty consistent basis. with exponential growth. every. single. time.
i’d like to take this time to quote my mom …”thats pretty damn good son!”
i guess it is.
and this isn’t even a single.
or even a song from my album.
its just a dope ass beat, with some (extra) dope rhymes from me and 2 of My favorite hip hop artists of all time, who woke up yesterday not even knowing they’d be on a record with me a few hours later.
Look at the atmosphere all in a stir.
if i were a younger me, right now is probably where i would say, “dog, look around. I’m the fucking man ouchea”
good thing I’m striving to grow.
i wouldn’t have believed it myself if i hadn’t experienced it.
I am Thankful and Grateful for This Blessing Filled Journey

Jay Electronica - “Dimethyltryptamine”
Jay Elect goes in on Doom’s Gazillion Ear prod by J Dilla. The video was shot in Nepal. Act II hype is through the roof.

Curren$y - “The Day” [Feat. Mos Def & Jay Electronica]

I guess this is the first track from CET. Just a little taste, but dope nonetheless. There’s no Mos verse, just a hook; for that, it’s a little anticlimactic. Then again, any new Jay Elect verse is a good day. Pilot Talk in stores today.
“My momma told me, always call a spade a spade,
Be like Chuck D; never be like Flavor Flav…”—jayelectHad to dig this up again. Song is ruthless.

Jay Electronica - “Shiny Suit Theory” [Feat. Jay-Z, The-Dream & Charlotte Gainsbourg]

Roc Nation’s ‘rookie’ gets mic-time with the CEO. Jay Elect inking Roc Nation is pretty colossal stuff. Hope Act II emerges from all this smoke, swiftly and on time. Imagine these two making an Exhibit J[ay] or something of the sort; just saying—that would be ruthless as fcuk.

Jay-Z Introduces Jay Electronica to Roc Nation
‘Awesome. I feel like we look like the Lakers right now’—J.Cole. This record label is slowly taking off. Jermaine Cole x Jay Elect is already OD. Also, the successful Willow Smith is on the roster. Plus artists under management contracts like; Rihanna, Wale, Melanie Fiona and the rumoured Trey Songz.
It’s looking bright for Roc Nation right now. I’m happy for Jay Electronica because you know Jay-Z will never try to compromise Jay Elect’s music and hurt the art; he even called him a wizard. Hov would keep Jay Elect authentic and never force him to dumb-down for the mainstream like a lot of record labels do with buzzing indie artists. They should seriously do an Exhibit J. That would be ruthless.

Jay Electronica - “Ghost of Christopher Wallace”

Yesssss. Diddy needs to STTTFFFUUUU on this record. Unnecessary banter. Regardless, the track is fire, the title is eerily self-explanatory—Jay Elect’s flow on this one can contrive a lot of comparisons with BIG’s no lie.
